Offering discounts can be a powerful marketing strategy for your store and UFE will make sure that you will get the most out of it.
There are two methods for applying discounts in UFE, Draft Order and Discount codes.
By default, UFE is using the Draft order method.
Draft Order
Draft orders allow us to create orders on behalf of merchants. It is similar to the orders that your customers create for themselves. This is useful for Shopify merchants who receive orders through outside channels.

UFE can use any one of these methods, both of them have their own pros and cons. Let's compare them side by side.
✅ Supports multiple currencies
Can use Shopify supported list of currencies to apply the discount.

Users can replace UFE applied discount codes with other discount codes if they have one
⭕️ Doesn’t allow discount description
Doesn't support adding any discount description.
⭕️ Doesn't support Free shipping
Free shipping can't be combined with other discounts.

Users can add offer translations in
Global settings → Translations → Checkout page
to display at checkout✅ Supports Other discounts
Supports other discount codes
such as Shopify Discount codes and automatic discounts with UFE
✅ Supports Free shipping
Supports adding Free shipping along with the discount
⭕️️ No support for multiple currencies
Shopify's draft order API only supports checkout with store default currency.
Pro Tip!
As a workaround, you can set free shipping rules in your store which will automatically be applied at checkout.
